NEW! Starting on March 15, 2023, we are excited to announce that Magic & Wonder located in Lancaster, PA will operate fully as a Dinner Theater. In the past, we have always offered the ability for guests to order appetizers and desserts; however, we are excited to offer an expanded dinner option.
In August of 2022, we brought in a world-class chef who had worked on designing menus for some of the best dinner theaters in Pigeon Forge, TN. He taught us his secret spices and recipes for some audience favorites.
What is included in the dinner theater meal?
The meal will include our made-from-scratch creamy vegetable soup, dinner rolls, oven-roasted chicken breast, pork bbq, country-style green beans, homemade coleslaw, roasted red potatoes, and our chocolate wonder delight dessert. The meal also includes sweet tea or lemonade. Coke products and other beverages available for an additional cost.
Can you accommodate special dietary requests?
We offer a vegan and vegetarian option as well as kid-friendlier options such as chicken tenders and french fries or pizza (available upon request). Our goal is to have something that everyone in your family can enjoy!
Why did Magic & Wonder decide to add a full dinner experience?
“Repeatedly, many of our guests have been asking us if and when we would operate as a dinner theater,” owner and performer Brett Myers explained, “and we are excited to finally be able to offer this experience. The soup is amazing and is always a favorite for both guests and our team. I am also very grateful to our kitchen manager Adam Zimmermann who has worked tirelessly to make this addition possible for all of our guests.”
We are sad that so many restaurants have had to close recently. With Revere Tavern no longer being an option for guests, as well as other restaurants like Good n’ Plenty and Hershey Farm not being in operation for the 2023 season, we think this will be a great way for guests to have an all-in-one experience.
When should I arrive for my meal?
Guests planning to have dinner at the Magic & Wonder Dinner Theater should plan to arrive 90-minutes prior to the showtime.
What is the seating arrangement at the theater?
Guests who choose to enjoy the meal before the show will be able to stay at their table for the duration of the performance. Once you are settled, you can relax and make yourself at home! And with the 350-seat theater, everyone is able to sit close enough to enjoy the grand-scale illusions or the dynamic vocal performances. Even in sold-out shows, guests have a fantastic view. The theater has tiered seating connected by ramps, and the stage is elevated. So you won’t have to miss a moment of the magic!
Will you still offer a show-only option?
We do still offer the show-only option for groups. We know that figuring out the right thing to do with your family or group is challenging enough, and fitting everything in is even harder! There are countless family-friendly activities in Lancaster, PA, and we want to make your trip as seamless as possible!
Will you still have regular concessions and a made-to-order menu?
Guests who want to order additional food throughout the show will also have a made-to-order menu at their table which includes shareable appetizers and specialty desserts. While the meal served prior to the show is more than enough to satisfy your appetite, there’s really no replacement for fresh-popped popcorn or our famous Houdini fries layered with cheese and bacon! And for families who are just looking for a theater show in Lancaster County, we’ll continue to have those snacks and made-to-order items that can be enjoyed during the performance.
Where are you located in Lancaster County?
Magic & Wonder Dinner Theater is located directly on Rt. 30, less than 5 miles from Tanger Outlets, American Music Theatre, and Sight & Sound Theatre. And we’re right on property with the Best Western Hotel in Paradise, PA.
